What is your returns policy?

Returning an unwanted item?

We hope you love what you’ve ordered, but if you’re not 100% satisfied with any item, we’ve made our returns simple:

  • You can return your item within 14 days, including items purchased with promotional discounts. (Your 14 days start from the date on your receipt, or from the date when you received/collected any items you bought online).
  • Items must be unworn and in their original condition.
  • Items must be returned with a valid order number or receipt.
  • All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and in the original tender currency (unless otherwise stated).
  • You can return online orders both in store and online and you need to create your return via our portal here.

The above returns policy refers to change of mind only and does not affect the statutory rights you have as a consumer e.g. the right to cancel, or the right to return items, which are faulty or not as described or a general right to return most online purchases under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

We are unable to accept any items that have been returned outside of the time period above, or that are worn or in an unsellable condition.

Please return your products to us as explained in this terms and conditions. You should keep evidence of having given your cancellation notice, as well as any returns receipt or proof of postage.

If you cancel your order you will be reimbursed the cost of items cancelled, plus delivery postage if the entire order is cancelled, and you will be responsible for returning the goods to us.

Instructions on your right to cancel

You have the legal right to cancel your order within fourteen days, without giving a reason.
This cancellation period of fourteen days starts with the day you or a person of your choice, who is not the deliverer, have/ has received the goods.

In order to apply your legal right to cancel you need to contact us with a clear statement (e.g. by post or E-Mail – returns@adjoavistyle.com) and let us know about your decision to cancel this contract. 

In order to comply with the time limit, it is sufficient to post the cancellation notice before the fourteen days end.

Consequences of the cancellation

If you have cancelled this contract, we are obliged to refund your payment, excluding delivery costs, within 14 days starting with the day we received your cancellation notice (with the exception of additional costs, as a result of your decision to choose a different delivery option other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us). In order to refund your money, we will use the same transaction that you chose in order to pay, unless we specifically agreed on an alternative refund method. We won’t charge an extra fee for the return of goods to store, but a postal return to our warehouse may be subject to an additional fee. We can deny the refund until we have either received the products or proof that you have sent them, depending on the earlier point of time.

Cancellation right exceptions

Your right to cancel does not include the delivery of unsealed goods, which on the grounds relating to protection of health, are not suitable for being returned when they have been opened by the consumer. These include for example piercings, beach wear, hair extensions, beauty products, hygiene products and parfums. 

Our returns policy

We hope you will be delighted with everything you have bought from us, but if you are unhappy with your products for any reason, you can return them to us in accordance with this Returns Policy within 14 days. These 14 days are regardless of your legal right to cancel within fourteen days. Customers can return their products by post only.

You will be responsible for the cost of returning the products to us by post. We recommend that you use a postal service that insures you for the value of the products you are returning and you should keep proof of postage. We will refund the full price you paid for the products, using the same method you used to pay for them. No exchanges can be made through our warehouse (this is because we cannot guarantee stock levels due to expected high turnover of styles).

Please note: We are unable to accept any items that have been returned outside of the time period above, or that are worn or in an unsellable condition.

Eligibility for Returns 

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and with all original tags and packaging intact. 

Items that are marked as “Sale” or “Non-Returnable” are not eligible for returns or exchange.

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping of the items to our factory in Kuje or any other location we may advise. Please note, your initial shipping fee is non-refundable if you decide to return your parcel. If you opt for self-shipping, please use a reliable shipping method with tracking to ensure the safe return of the item.

Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected to ensure it meets the return eligibility criteria. We will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your return.

If the return is approved, we will process your refund.

Once approved a £5.00 handling fee will be deducted from your refund.

Adjoavi Style does not accept international exchanges. Returns are accepted for eligible items as outlined in this policy, but exchanges for international orders are not available.

Reasonable care

If you want to return or exchange your products, you must take reasonable care of them and they should be returned to us in their original condition, which means that:

  • You can open the packaging to look at and try on the products as you would in our stores.
  • You must not try on the products wearing strong perfume/aftershave or a deodorant which may leave scent or marks on the products.
  • Shoes shouldn’t be worn outside and no scuffing should appear on the sole.
  • Hygiene strips must not be removed from any products (for example, swimwear).
  • Tags should not be removed from products.
  • The original packaging should be retained and returned.

If you fail to take reasonable care of the products before returning them to us, you may have to compensate us. For hygiene reasons we cannot offer refunds on pierced jewellery, cosmetics, face coverings, swimwear where the seal/hygiene sticker has been removed or underwear/briefs if removed from their original packaging. We also cannot offer exchange or refunds on fragrances if the original packaging has been removed. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Risk and title

The products will be at your risk at the time that they enter into your possession or a person identified by you that is authorised to take possession of the products. Ownership of the products will only pass to you at the time of delivery or (if later) when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the products, including delivery charges.

Warranty
We will take responsibility for defects in the goods as per statutory provision. For clarity, A thing is free from material defects if it meets the subjective requirements (agreed qualities), objective requirements (ordinary use and expected qualities), and assembly requirements (proper installation) at the time of risk transfer.

Liability
We are only liable for defects that were not of intent or gross negligence if a duty has been violated, which was of special significance for the contractual purpose (cardinal obligation). In this case our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
